Last Saturday, I jumped in my car to run some errands. Since it was a decent temperature out, I figured I didn't need air conditioning and turned the circulating fan on to outside air. The dashboard emitted a slight buzz, and there was no circulation. After checking the fuses and finding that all were fine, I went off to the mechanic. Two days and $30 later, they determined it was an electrical issue and sent me to the dealership.
Dun dun dunnn...
So that brings us to yesterday at Holler Honda. Five hours and $160 later, a resistor was replaced, and the fan was fine. Good.
Then, I get home to hear that the toilet in the bathroom under the stairs has been running for a bit. I open the tank to find that the flapper has disintegrated. I turned the water off and noted that it was time for a trip to Home Depot. I need to get some curtain rod hangers anyway, so that'll be done too.
I'm happy that these sagas are being handled well by me. There was a bit of swearing when I found out I had to go over to the dealership, but that's better at any rate than panicking. Today, I feel pretty fantastic knowing that I can handle the "grown up" stuff without going nuts.
